Early Girl Tomato Arrival

Written by Chris on June 30th, 2010

Finally was able to harvest a couple of “real” tomatoes–i.e., not cherry tomatoes. These are Bush Early Girl. Not that big, but bigger than a cherry. Have not tasted one yet, first one is just now to full ripeness. Anyway, exciting to finally get a non-cherry tomato!

My 1st brandywine appeared yesterday! I almost gave up on it…it was very strong and green, but it just wouldn’t fruit.

It’s good to live in the south…sometimes. My Paul Robersons, Black from Tula, Cherokee Purples are going crazy. Here’s my 2nd harvest: http://twitpic.com/20j55u
