OOOOOH, I’m jealous! None of my serrano seeds sprouted, but then they did all come from serrano I purchased at the store and farmer’s market. Maybe I just need to purchase seed. Oh, well.
Actually, I bought the serrano and the jalapeno in 4″ pots from a nursery because I did not think of growing them until too late. The other four peppers in that Earthbox I did start from seed (two poblano, one bell and one anaheim). They are all about equal in size now–the ones I started from seed were much smaller than the nursery-bought plants, but the all evened out after a few weeks.
When are you expecting the cucumbers to grow to full-size? I am also looking for good recipes for the cucumbers but am hoping to use recipes from other growers. Any ideas?

I never have luck sprouting any type of pepper. EVER. I always have to buy seedlings.

I use cucs in kimchi, but most people I know can’t stand kimchi. It’s supereasy to make, though.
I also use them to make maast. It’s a persian oniony yogurt dip that’s a nice alternative to ranch dressing (WAY less sodium, too).
